The chances of me ever setting foot in that place are already pretty low... enclosed mall, tons of people, bad traffic... yeah, not high up on my list.

Enjoy the hype... and another place to separate you from your money.

It's a shopping mall... HOORAY.

It's not like all the stores are brand new entrants to the Calgary market or something... Just a few of them. And even if they are new entrants, is it worth subjecting yourself to traffic/parking/breathing problems?

I predict hundreds of teenage girls will flock there though.

I'm seriously wondering if this mall will turn out to be a white elephant. Looking at the store list probably 85%-90% of them can be found in pretty much every other mall in Calgary. They have a few new entrants to the Calgary market, but so will Chinook once its addition is completed, and Chinook's location is obviously 100 times better than out in Balzac...

I've got a buddy that is doing some of the construction work there. He says it's taking him 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot at the end of the day. I think I heard on the radio that there are 6000 parking spaces and they expect 70,000 people opening day. Maybe they're going to park one on top of the other?

I agree, I have a bad feeling about this Mall. It's about an hour just in travel time (there and back) for most people to get out there and for what exactly?
