    Default canadian fuel -vs- us fuel

    I'm wondering what type of fuel husky and the others use compared to the US.

    talked to one of my tuners in the states and this is what he said

    "is that 94 RON, MON or RON+MON/2 ?
    _
    us spec is RON+MON/2 (an average of the two ratings)
    the rest of the world is big on RON
    _
    94 RON =91 us spec
    98 RON = 93 us spec

    Canada gas = same ratings as USA gas.
    (RON+MON)/2 = 'familiar octane rating' or PON (Pump octane number)

    RON octane rating or MON octane ratings are big in Europe/Asia.

    RON=octane testing done at 600rpm
    MON=octane testing done at 900rpm.
    With 'octane testing' meaning how well it resists combustion at those engine speeds.
