Maybe you should state what blow off valve your using, if its a greddy type s then you plug one vac line from a good vac source to the top nub on the bov, you can t-off from that vac line to have a second vac line for the bottom nub on the bov.

I dont understand a thing you said but maybe this is in the right direction. A BOV HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR ECU! hope this helps a bit.

    Cheers,

Here is what you do, run 2 small vacuum hoses off the BOV, get a t connector and plug each end of the vacuum hose into 2 of the 3 ports. You then connect the main line to the bottom of the t connector. Hope this makes sense.

    I've got the same BOV.

Hook the thing up to the hot pipe coming off the turbo.

The small nipple on the top gets a line from the manifold.
The line I use is the one that's the small line beside the IAC line out of the intake and runs into a holder on the side of the head.

Bottom angled nipple is open to atmosphere.

Then you can re-route into intake if you'd like with some modification and hoses or you can vent to atmosphere.

Adjust the spring and you're done. Tighten down those nuts on the spring adj. because I've lost mine before.

ok ya that makes more sense. i just changed it to 1 hose that goes into the upper nipple. the other hose was just plugged. heres what it looks like now. im getting a new bov on friday cuz this one is messed up it doesnt hold the pressure and it keeps letting out air after i shift. i also dont think that that nut on top is supposed to be there its stripped

    sorry about the terrible quality

It should let air out when you shift. It reduces the pressure in the IC pipes to prevent the turbo fins from breaking on pressure increases when the tb closes.

Bottom nipple needs to be open to atmoshpere not plugged. Make sure there's no air leaks on the top nipple line.

Only way the BOV is busted is of the diaphram inside is cracked. You can open them up and check it out. Undo the hex bolts around the outside. Spring isn't that stiff that you can't use a quick grip to get it back together and get the screws back in.
But it sounds like it's working right.

is the top supposed to me open like the top where u adjust it (hard or Soft) it looks like they lost the nut that was supposed to go in there and just went to home depot and bought a nut for 20 cents. and it keeps releasing air like it doesnt fully close

So basically my bov is connected correctly? Just one vac hose going into the top nipple and the bottom nipple is open to atmosphere

It may be... when i put my greddy type s on to my gt4 i did what redline said, you get two vac lines, one goes from the best vac source (the best source is the small line beside the IAC line out of the intake like mr2mike stated) from that line i cut it in half, put a t connector in and put the origional vac line onto one part of the t connector and ran another vac line to the angled nub on the bottom of the bov, this worked fine for me.

From this point you just go around the block or whatever, driving the car so there is load on the turbo testing the pressure of the spring (the dial on the top of the bov that you said is stripped) if you need to you can re thread the top dial and get the proper rubber seal for it and no air will leak and your bov will work fine. I had to re thread mine because i had the same issue, because the person i bought the bov from didnt tell me the thing was a pos. A member on here misterrick helped me get the rethreading tool and proper fitting nut and seal for the application. If you pm him and tell him what issue you have i am sure he will help you out.

    Thanks,
