NIO's great as long as they play nice with the government. Xpeng is probably a better product.
XPEV went up like crazy after their ER, wished I bought some when it was in the 20-30 range but was too busy accumulating NIO.
Hope Xpeng's earning is an indication of what Nio's release might be next week.

and LI. Waiting for all the EV stonkies to get out of those after earnings and back to TSLA. Stimulus bill would be fantastic too. :p

Sona got smoked! FDA politics at play? De-risked from that one a while ago but still have a small position. Still green for me but damn that one cut deep.

I'm into HPQ lately. Huge potential for battery tech. Up major today on no news. Something is up.

Check it out if you dare.

Wouldn't expect anything less. That's Health Canada for you lol. Pretty crazy considering they have that new director that is co-chair for Canada's COVID-19 response. I no longer have a position but thinking about possibly jumping back in with a small amount if it get's down to $.80. Been keeping an eye on it. Glad I made money on it when I did but jesus they really fucked something up along the way.

Was told by someone a few months ago in the mess hall of a work camp to check into this. Never did buy any but wish I did lol.

I got into TMO (Thermo Fischer Scientific) today. More the fill and finish of the vaccine but thinking it can have some upside in the next year or two.

Best freezer manufacturer. Way better than an LG.

Is there a way to play options for the TSX as a whole index? Searched around and haven't found anything

But... why? Canadian options suck. Just play SPY or QQQ or some other highly liquid American option

I guess this is more of a long term than short term investment. I'm looking to buy into a TSX index fund but want to get in at a lower price so would like to sell put options to get in and paid while I wait.

So what you’re saying is... you expect some sort of growth out of Canada???

Isn’t there only like a handful of Canadian corps even worth holding? Why not just replicate a distilled version of the index with the top name from each sector or something?

Maybe there's a tenth decent stock in this entire country. But hell I wouldn't even hold all ten of these individually.

CIBC has recovered from the March dip quite well vs. the other CDN banks.
