bought some USLV today (44.90) Silver took a beating today and last month or so, hoping to capitalize on a bounce, hope it pays out.
i just can't understand why metals are taking such a hit.
I was looking at that today. Bought some last time it dipped below 6. Any idea why its dropping? Probably going to grab some more.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Got rid of that Telus stock, made 150$ or so… meh

Ya it seems to be stable long term. not worried I already have a large chunk just wondering why its been on the decline so much. Dividend is sweet!Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Not sure, it is usually a pretty solid 7$ stock, although it always seems to dip this time of year. I have 1800 shares that I bought for just under 7$ as a parking lot for my unused cash this summer, a little surprised by the price but no reason to panic. Just those shares are paying me 90$ a month in dividends.
Whenever it dips this low I buy as much as I can, can't beat the yield and it is a pretty safe bet it will be back up to 7 or 8$ within a few months.
Lxv took a 25% tumble today. What gives? Just people bailing before launch?
Idiot me bought in at .81 on Friday
Double post
Yeah this has taken a beating for sure. Personally I still have shares in this company and I'm just going to wait it out now. I like the story and I'm confident I'll be in the money 6-12 months from now.Originally posted by sabad66

im sure you know but traders always have their list of popular stocks and whenever there is a new release they play the momentum swings. Buy high sell higher, short low, cover lower etc. There is zero fundamentals behind the volatility. Remember before daytraders and computers controlled %99.99 of the daily market activity, you'd get a news release and a stock would fluctuate %0.5 or so. 1/4 point or 1/2 point moves. Way more reliable. At this point with the trillions in cheap money sloshing around the big banks and brokerage firms, there is zero difference between the stock market and the bitcoin market. It's all computers running technical algorithms buying and selling numbers. Fundamentals are completely meaningless in the short term.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Why the fuck is Tesla up 12 % today
God I hate that stock...
Then I ask you this...Originally posted by BigMass
Fundamentals are completely meaningless in the short term.
If the tiny movements/fluctuations on a day to day basis are meaningless (essentially random), then how do you continuously add up these tiny meaningless movements over a longer period of time to arrive at what you would call "fundamentals", which make logical sense?

GCO just released assays on the first 7 holes confirming the soviet findings for cobalt.
this market cap is low, i think the stock is very undervalued could be a decent run up in the next couple months or sooner.
Weird market reaction on that though. Right after halt it went up to .265 and then fizzled out to only .23 ( .01 above yesterday's close)Originally posted by bmeier

Do you know much about cobalt mining to interpret the results? Out of the 7 they analyzed out of the 49, looks like they have about .15% cobalt. I think .25 or .30% cobalt would have been a lot better.
Either way I like it though. My avg price is around .15 but I might add some more if I can get some more cash together. Potential here is huge...
Ya it was a weird day....
Even though the stock halted and news was released I don't think a lot of people saw that since the volume was pretty low before and after the immediate spike when trading resumed.
As far as I know .1% cobalt is considered economic so the assays seem pretty good, plus there are other metals. Looking forward to next week and some more assays being analyzed.
Anyone follow LGX Oil and Gas (CVE:OIL)? Company that was formerly Bowood Energy. They released some initial production results in the 'Alberta Bakken' (Three Forks) at close yesterday with some impressive numbers.
Flowing 1,650 Bopd of 31 API oil over the first 5 days, with peak rates in excess of 3,500 bpd.
Up 30% yesterday on those well results. News release also mentions that up to 20 sections of land offsetting that well could be prospective for oil production.

First time poster here, but check IBG out (IBI Group). High risk, high reward, IMO.
I see the risks: they make no money, don't appear to have a plan to make money, shrinking book value, and have $200 million in debt (on a $15 million market cap). Where is the reward? I bet I could get into this stock at half today's price a year from now as they appear to be on a one way slide to zero.Originally posted by Leekiwwi
