Default Need advice on collectIng from previous employer...

I'm in need on some advice on collecting from a previous employer who is unwilling to pay. Now i have a contract that states I would get $x garuntee for taking on new duties plus a bonus for achieving certian quotas. Also I had a print out of my commisions( beingin sales) which said I earned $x. Now my ex-employer is not willing to pay the garuntee and deducted $x from my comissions whithout reason. My question is, what is the best way to collect my money? I called a lawyer but I don't think they'd take the case since it's under 10k. My two options that I have been made aware of are amvic and employment standards. Anyone ever go through this?

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!

My only thing now is trying to fill out the self help form since I was mostly commission based. It seems like it was only intended for salary/ hourly workers.

Have you kept track of what you're suppose to make? (from your commission sales and percentage)

Haha, Rat Fink doesn't like that company much eh? WTF do they do anyways?

They are a wireline company. I know them best for their tractors. Actually just had a Welltec crew up here on site on the NWT/BC border.

If you were paid on commission, you're screwed, just as if you were a waiter who works on tips. You can't retroactively go back and try to get more money and your employer knows this, that's why they have no problem with you going to Employment Standards. Good luck. You'll get only your basic hourly wage, which from the sounds of it you're already been paid.
