Exact same one I saw. It was parked on Fifth Ave place during lunch (no camera on my phone).

FWIW this is actually a kit car. I knew the owner (green cap) a few years back and did the out of province inspection on the car.

Yup, but it is pretty well done. Full custom square tube chassis and drive train from an older 560SEL. Went pretty damn good and was a ringer on the outside. Inside wasn't the best, vinyl instead of leather and some pretty obvious bits from other models but most people would have no clue. Drew quite a crowd outside the shop and lots of rubber necking when on the road. Think of it as a tribute car rather than a kit car

There is a real 300SL gullwing in Calgary with pale grey exterior. It just had a full restoration complete and is flawless.
