(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It happened during a Southwest Airlines flight headed for St. Louis.
Deputies say a man exposed himself to the woman sitting next to him and then punched her in the face.
When flight attendants tried to get him under control he took off all his clothes.
"I turned around and there was this enormous guy, he was just enormous," said one passenger. "He was up in the aisle, he had no clothes on, he was boisterous, a little belligerent, I guess he hit somebody."
"The flight attendant was like, sir, you have to sit down. And, he had no clothes on. He had his baseball hat and socks," said a passenger.
The flight attendants did manage to get him under control, though he refused to put any clothes back on.
The pilot turned the plane around and headed back to the Oakland Airport.
When the plane landed deputies ran on board armed with guns and a blanket.
The woman he hit was shaken up but otherwise okay.
