    Default heater....Integra

the heater in my Integra seems to be warm even though I put it on the highest fan speed and it is set at the red zone..meaning its not hot enough in the freakin cold...any possible solutions to this?

they are cheap, under 20 bucks, it's about a .5 hour charge to change one at a shop. you don't need a new one, maybe just a hotter one

omg. so much nonsense in this thread.

dude, is your car actually warming up and staying warm in the cold? i mean as in your actual temp. gauge readout. if it doesnt stay at the usual temperature, then get a higher temp tstat. if it does, then u might just need a new heater core or have your old one flushed out

I just changed my thermostat on my B16 and it's really easy. Its so easy the place that did it did'nt charge me for it when he did a rad flush (he did the flush for $40 or $50 i think). Don't go get a $20 thermostat, go to Honda it will be $45 it comes with the gasket. Don't forget your B18B is'nt much diff than mine...actually they are pretty much the same.
If the heat in your car sucks than it might be your Heater core but most Honda's past a certain amount of years or KM's the heat starts getting shafty, I have had that problem in 3 of my previous Honda's.

Guess I am just lucky, I've owned 7 hondas and never once needed a new heatercore. But you're definetly right about the coolant flush, improper coolant mix can make the heater not so hot.. Seemed to fix any heating problem I've ever had.

heater core can get plugged from not using it.
