The wait between batches wasn't too long. Our waiter would take our order when he brought that round (ie. takes orders for round 3 when he brings round 2). It took one batch particularly long. Don't know why that was. I think it had something to do with just that item because those of us who didn't order it, got ours pretty quick.

You get a side and a salad, but theken got neither.

Teriyaki is definitely the best, too bad it comes with rice all the time, but I still got 4 servings of them no problem. They taste like shrimp you get from Edo. Coconut is OK with a nice sweetness and spicy aftertaste but can't take more than one serving. Garlic is just drenched in butter and terrible IMO. It was an experience but I don't think i'll be doing it again anytime soon.

    QFT

I filled up on Cheddar bay biscuits so I only had 5 orders of shrimp total LOL
I ended up throwing out all the rice, and I would've felt bad about wasting food if it wasn't so dry.

^^ You don't have to eat the rice that comes with the Cajun or Teriyaki (server said she didn't care), but it starts looking bad for you when you keep leaving it on the plate. Besides, it's probably like 5 spoonfuls of rice you could eat pretty easily. I would atleast eat a few bites of it.

Have to reluctantly give this a bump.

Bunch of us went out to tackle this daunting feast. Went to RL on Macleod South.

We may be no strangers to buffets, but endless shrimp, a first for most in the group.

Service there was friendly and relaxing, server gave us a list of available choice. Panko wasn't on menu last night. The Mediterranean and Nashville Hot are supposed to be "new", not sure if those were around when OP started.

All were going well, RL yummy biscuits on the table. Which went to a grinding halt when someone in the group came up with the idea; highest shrimp eaten gets their meal comp'ed.

Once we prepped our game face, our appetite widens during the wait. With Endless Shrimp menu, you get rice with two sides (i.e. salads, etc...) But since our contest was highest shrimp count, we were all budgeting our stomach real estate accordingly. Each individual starts with 2 pickings of shrimp flavours.

It wasn't long till the waitress realized there were some heavy hitters in the group and just gave us a smorgaboard of the entire shrimp menu so we can figure out our future orders.

Some of my memorable flavours in no particular orders: coconut bites (but since the shrimps are small, too much batter), garlic butter, grilled, Mediterranean and Nashville hot. Couldn't care much for those popcorn ones.

As for the "contest"... the prawn king within the group took victory at 148 count, lowest count at 40... I was somewhere in the lower middle at 85

No uppercuts thrown, we could barely lift our stomachs. That meal last night, paid for breakfast AND lunch today.

    Wow, I want shrimp.

On a sidenote, it's weird looking back and seeing a post over 8 years ago. And then realizing you've been on beyond for over a decade. And that over a third of your life you've been a member of Beyond...

Think mommy's trolling me. She made me some kinda chicken shrimp linguine for lunch. Didn't wanted to disappoint her, finished the whole plate, at least it ended. So full, Beyond foodies, please don't text me for dinner tonight.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

    148!!! That's disgusting haha.

Also for anyone not in the know.... you can buy Red Lobster biscuit mix at Costco and make them yourselves at home, they taste exactly the same and are amazing.

We were all disgusted by Prawn King too. During 110 count, the two winners were neck to neck, they were eating shrimp for shrimp headsup, till we ordered 10 grilled skewers (50) pushing for a tie breaker. Then Prawn King grabbed as many skewers and were able to lick 7 of 'em. By then everyone was either throwing up, waitin' to go poop, or just lost their appetite. But in the spirit of not wasting food, we made sure Prawn King had to finish his 35 (7 skewers @ 5) before we'd crown him.
