Default Brand name strut tower braces vs. no name

Does it really make a huge difference paying out the extra $$$ for name brand strut tower braces?

How much good a strut tower brace will do you is entirely dependent upon the design of the brace, the materials used to make it and the design of the vehicle its going on. A good quality no-name brace that is well designed should work every bit as well as a brand name one, but some cars gain very little benefit from them (and some are in dire need of them).

Drag racing is for fast cars. Solo 2 is for fast drivers.

since they don't do THAT much to begin with i dont see there being a difference...just make sure that they are adjustable and there wont be any difference, except maybe in how shinny the chrome is. After all...it's only a bar right

well if its a good quality no-name then probably no difference, but if its shit like APC or alike, then there is. one of my friends has an APC strut tower bar and its sooo gay, there is not much for strenght in the unit and it is a poor design.

You get what you paid for, more expensive ones should be more ridgid, and have stronger welds.

generic strut tower braces are fine for street use and do make a difference. for the price of a cusco compared to a generic is outragous. I have a 240 as well and the front upper stb shows a difference you can feel. go to this link, i posted about this a while ago and got alot of response out of it:

    cheers,

yeah a strut brace would definetly help, esp. because its a convertible, i dunno how one would go about researching which strut braces have a good design and which are worth the money
