Best part is that it would be up to the reserve to punch a road through there for easy access to the casino, they'd have to defile their own 'sacred' lands to keep the money flowing to their 'sacred' bank accounts - the same thing we wanted to do and were gladly willing to give them exorbitant amounts of compensation for. I love it.

Fuck roundabouts. They're everywhere in Europe, but no one here knows how to use them haha.

That may be the point in this instance, hahahah. All this is going to do, is take the East Glenmore to North 37th traffic from the left side of the road, and put it down south 37th.

I mean I'm sure they'll have a nice long turning lane for it, but it's going to be backed up like a mofo now.

I doubt anymore people will be trying to do the south 37th, to East glenmore "cheat" anymore, traffic will be JAMMED on that circle. If anything, it'll make it worse for that particular flow, since you won't be able to go around that way.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

I think every 4 way stop and low volume intersection should be roundabouts. Sure there'll be a teething period where the pathetic Canadian driver is forced to learn how to drive at least up to par with senior citizens in the rest of the world, but it'll make traffic flow much more efficient.

I felt the same way when we had the roundabout put in at Highways 8 x 22. I figured we (me and my fellow firefighters who deal with that area) would be there constantly for crashes and semi rollovers and such. We've had crashes there, including more than one that involved people in various states of sobriety (or lack thereof) driving straight through and wrecking their car on the giant center curbs. But no serious rollovers have happened yet.

It's plainly obvious, though, from many near-misses there, that people have no clue how to navigate these things. Traffic going around the circle has the right of way and must keep moving. Traffic coming into the circle is required to stop, only if vehicles in the circle are in the way. Otherwise, it is to keep moving as well.

People coming into the circle usually do one of two things: Either they throw out the anchor and come to a complete stop all time every time, if a car is even remotely near the circle from any direction, or they barrel through, full speed ahead, regardless of what's going on. There's been more than one fender-bender because someone plowed into a car going around the circle, or was rear-ended because they stopped when they shouldn't have.

The way i understand it, is that if it's a 2 lane traffic circle the lane closer to the middle can turn out when ever it wants . the lane further from the middle must turn out at first chance. could be wrong as i don't drive them everyday but that's what the sign looks like

terrible idea i cant see this helping much at all.
i agree with Canmorite people in this city are retarded when it comes to traffic circles i live in discovery ridge and iv almost been hit form the side literally over 10 times by retards not understanding how to use it.
i was 15 min late for work today at 7pm trying to get thought that freaking intersection so i hope they do something more effective then this to help congestion.

if more people could use them properly they would work great.

someone got all pissed at me about a year ago when I took my right of way to exit from the inside lane when he wanted to go to the next exit point on the outside lane.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Except this is going to do the exact opposite by putting thousands of motorist right on their doorstep. Before it was sort of out of the way, now... not so much.

Highly doubt anyone will pull into the casino simply because they are now forced to drive past.

I rarely go that way, but the odd time I've been on 37th trying to turn left at like 4:30 it takes 20minutes or so to do it.......so people trying to turn left will have to wait, what, upwards of 1/2 an hour from the time to turn right, go the roundabout, then head back and cross the street during rush hour??

I don't see why they just don't close access from 37th completely so it's 100% glenmore north/south; then if you're trying to cross you find another way.
