    -sierra cove
    -downtown of course

    SW is nice.

Pump Hill, Eagle Ridge, Mount Royal, Elbow Park, Park Hill etc.

    Avoid the NE

pretty much any area with the word "west" in is pretty nice but you kinda gave a vague description of what your looking for in an area

kensington is nicer (IMO) than downtown..
And whenever my mom comes to town she likes to walk along Bow river (14th st to eau claire) and see the city views from Sait (when it used to have a field)

Crescent Heights, great view. Mount Royal, Kensington, Elbow Park... that's all you need.

    Plus Bel-aire.

Pump Hill has the largest house in the city, and the central part of Pump Hill is the nicest spot in the city, but I may be bias.

Not knocking your selection, I'm more curious than anything but I only know Heritage Pointe and it isn't a part of Calgary, at least not a few years ago. How many of these areas are actually a part of Calgary?

All but Heritage Pointe (oops and Bearspaw).
Elbow Valley isn't IN Calgary either, but is close enough to be considered part of it. It's just west on highway 8.

OP mentioned Springbank so I assumed out-of-town neighbourhoods are fair game.

Britannia is the only one really deep inside the city. Aspen Estates is on the west edge of the city. Others are outside the city limits AFAIK.

Most of those are in Springbank and Bearspaw. Not technically part of Calgary, just west of the city, closer than Heritage Pointe.
