Best way to get to Bali?!

looking to book a trip to Bali for february.

probably just a one-way as we don't know when we want to come back or anything yet

any suggestions as far as getting there? (airlines, websites to watch, when to buy, what cost to expect)

debating if we should fly to bangkok or something first and use a different airline to get to bali or just book straight from calgary to bali..hmm

I went from LA to singapore, and from Singapore to Bali (denpasar) via singapore airlines.

You can apply to work for Bre-X. As an employee, they'll fly you there by helicopter but they may throw you out of it while in flight.

A few routes Ive seen is via Singapore, Hanoi or Bangkok.

You can also get cheap flights via Sydney/Brisbane Aus through JetStar. Find a Qantas sale, go from Van to Oz, and then catch the cheap seat sales to Indo from there.

Yeah, Air Asia flies alot of dirt cheap flights around that area. I think i few from Bali to Jakarta for like 88$ or something like that.

Yeah try to get to Kuala Lampur, Singapore, or Bangkok then book with Air Asia as they are dirt cheap, I went from Bangkok to Bali for under $50 Can

Sweet trip!! I'm leaving for Asia in a week, flying into Bangkok, then to Bali, it's not very far from there, and I presume it would be Easyer To Thai land first from north america and might be cheaper, flights are dirt cheap over there, and I recomend getting an open ended ticket rather then just a one way. I had a friend get deported from Europe for only buying a one, thought he was an illegal alien. Asia might be different tho..

this is dumb but i have never bought an open ended ticket, how do you tell if it is one or how do you even search for one? cause that would definitely be the way to go for me

so i'm thinking i should book an open end return.
book dates from calgary to bangkok and bangkok to bali. and probably just book bali to bangkok (while in bali) when i'm ready to go. ya?
