Found this pool today after Mibz pointed out my lack of awareness on another suggestion..

2009 F1 Fantasy Pool

This one seems like a good bet, you pick the top 8 for every GP. Read the Rules to see how the points are calculated.

You can register whatever username you want, but enter Beyond.ca as the sub-league when you register.

I'd like to put it to a vote to see how many want a Cash Pool and how many don't.

Voting Closes on the 22nd. Entries will need to be payed by the 25th.

Sound like a plan? Changes? Ideas?

I ended up being the "captain" of the pool when I signed up and opened the sub-league. Participants need to be activated through me, so if we decide to make this a cash pool, I will activate each person once they pay the entry.

Yea, I voted $20 as a middle point unless we come out with a wide split... but I am good for $30 if the majority go that direction.

3rd - $40

I think we should have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd paying.

I don't think the gap between 1st and 2nd should be quite that large.. I think the 50/30/20% difference is probably the best.

I like the big gap. Our hockey pool had a similar gap. 15 guys @ $20 each.
3rd place gets $20
2nd place gets $40
1st place gets $240

It rewards the winner, and whoever doesn't win, well... you just don't win.

I think majority rules for $20.... I'd rather not hold the cash.. I am the cash holder on another forum for another contest, would prefer to not have 2 going at the same time.... if no one steps up, i suppose I will though, but would prefer someone else.

I think if we are gonna pay Top 3, 3rd place should only break even. That's how its been in most other pools I have seen/been in.

I was thinking some more along the lines of this:

12 at $20 = $240

1st - 160
2nd - 60
3rd - 20


Everyone good with $20? Specifically the guys who voted $10?


On a side note, can someone help me figure out why I am unable to open/connect to www.f1toto.com from my own computer... works fine everywhere but my laptop, whether I am trying using my router or the roommates. Just started happening within the last week.
