My first thought was wondering, if indeed he had been injured, that maybe if he had a stock hood he would not have been injured.
(The hood being a vital part of the front crumple zone, designed to fold up instead of shatter, etc..)

^ dude our cars look alike. there are tons of red eg's in calgary with a cf hood. lol. not sure about EK's though.
I was cruising Crowchild/Glenmore/Sarcee tonight and didn't see anything.
Roads were nice and empty though.
I was driving by the area last night around 8:50pm. There were about 10-12 cars all pulled over... Looked like a chain reaction sorta accident.
A 1km down the road at the onramp for crowchild there was another accident with 3-4 cars.
It was pretty hard for me to see tho, because it was dark and my windshield is tinted
I drove past it, car didn't look that smashed in.
Your dad was exaggerating

EJ6 is the chassis code for 96-00 civic hatchbacks in north america.Originally posted by AA2001
hahah and you're saying this because...........
Japanese market civics of that year are EK Chassis codes.
Kinda like how your civic is not an EG6 but rather it is likely an EH2
If your civic had a b16 swap you could at least say you have an EG6 motor, but I don't think you even have that, so EG6 is entirely false for a chassis code on your car.
some people choose to only generalize the chassis codes but it's good to actually know that you are generalizing them incorrectly.
its like how when the fast and the furious first movie came out everyone would generalize "nitrous" as "nos"
when nos is a name brand but isn't correct when talking about another brand.
some people would call it nos because it was a cliche thing to say and other would call it nos because they didn't bother to find out what they were talking about.
