Any interest in a Beyond.ca road rally in 2010?

So I've been thinking about this for the last little while. If any of you have seen the top gear episode where they enter a bunch of random cars in a road rally in spain then you'll know what I'm talking about. It's basically a road rally where accuracy and consistancy and not speed is important. What's fun about this is that you don't need a crazy race car to enter and it can be done legally on public roads without braking any laws. I don't know much about these types of rallies so I'm going to do some research into them but it sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Thoughts, comments, opinions and advice appreciated.

Yup, done TSD and help with marshalling TSD... it takes lots of effort.

Definitely interested.. I couldn't TSD with my Lexus on dirt roads but with tarmac

So just to clarify, this is traditional road rallying and not the rallying with hairpins and dirt-flying action?

Though the latter would be fun, I like my car having no dents.

And NO! These events are NOT about speed.
You are deducted the same amount of points for arriving at a checkpoint 10 seconds early or 10 seconds late. It's about precision calculations to be where you need to be EXACTLY when you need to be there.

I've driven a number of TSD's before and they are a lot of fun and show you some interesting roads you likely would have never known about!

If this were to be a beyond-organized event I could help in planning. Something like an overnight drive to Kelowna using only backroads. Would need checkpoint workers etc... I think it would be better to enter an event that's already existing as 'team beyond' for the benefit of the charity though.
