Default Introducing the 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

    http://www.gm.ca/gm/english/offers/c...uarantee/terms

    This is such bullshit.
¡Your Eligible Vehicle must pass a vehicle inspection conducted by the GM Dealership and have no more than $200 of damage as determined in the Dealer's sole discretion.
¡Your Eligible Vehicle is not leased.
So if you buy a GM car via financing or paying it off outright, and you want to return it, and the dealer tells you that there are $201 damage (carpet stain, etc. etc.) and you're fxcked!

Stupid IMO. Why even advertise this.

See now you misunderstand my point.
Dealer's sole discretion. in an inspection. -> Damage over $200 for sure.
I'm not saying I'd buy a car and beat the crap out of it and return it. Even driving regularly will cause the floor mat, seat surface, etc. to be dirty.

    So why advertise this?
I guess there are people that are stupid and don't read the contract agreement. That's why GM was making money before the recession.

Look at their commercials. They have to mention other cars and compare. Why not sell your own product, it's sad they have to chase after other companies products.

well, they are comparing Buick to Lexus in their latest commercial and asking people to compare them. I think that speaks Volumes and when looking at them, they seem incredibly similar....

That is just giving the public what it wants....

Buick has a long way to go if they want to be mentioned in the same sentence as Lexus.

If I was shopping for an old man car like much of the Lexus lineup I would look at Buick. Buick is known to be pretty reliable and scores up with Lexus on long term surveys generally.

But if you're looking to buy an IS-F, you're obviously not going to look at Buick... or any other company that doesn't cater to that segment.

I am constantly amazed how they can cheapen the look of decent materials, even in the current generations.

Have you ever seen any company advertise the fine print or conditions? Never.

They do have to protect themselves from people that would attempt to rent a car, beat on it and return it and trust me people would do this. Sounds to me like you're either another domestic hater or someone that was hoping to bag a car on GM's dime.

It's a good marketing tool, but I suspect that any dealers hurting for cash or whatnot will just "find" $200 of damage and not take it back. Only time will tell I guess. Also it could be there to protect from abuse.

I've also noticed how they compare themselves to other brands all the time in commercials. You sure don't see many other manufactuers feeling the need to do that.

You have to keep the car for 30 days.

Subject to the definitions, qualifications, limitations and requirements set forth in the Terms & Conditions, if You return Your Eligible Vehicle to the GM Dealership from which You purchased the Eligible Vehicle between day thirty (31) and day sixty (60) of the Program Period, your selling GMCL dealer will purchase the Eligible Vehicle from You for the Customer Reimbursement amount.

That's not that half of it.

For a while he was a director for the SSOA (Super Sport Owners Association), he has met all of the GM designers and VPs around the project, he would go to Bowling Green every year for the meets and even was at the press-pass-only unveiling of the SS at the Detroit Auto Show (you can see him in the unveiling pictures taken that day by various media sources).

It may not have fallen under the same program, but he certainly didn't keep it for more than 30 days.

Here are the pictures of the car in question.

If you were returning the vehicle for another GM vehicle (or the same one with more options) - i don't think they'd give you a hard time. However if you blatently said you were going to return it for a competing brand, then i could see the dealer giving you a hard time.

I think they have to do that because the general public just thinks 'All GM products are crap, they can't compare to Japanese stuff', yet they have a lot of good products. I think they are pretty good commercials to advertise to all those ignorant people out there.
