Upgraded it last night and did not loose any pins.
If you have any current convos going on you will loose them as you have to reboot your berry right after you install it.
Otherwise, its not bad.

upgraded too last night.
did not lose any contacts.
i had to set it to "standard conversation" style to make it look better.
finally started playing with it this morning, the Scan mode seems cool but i dunno how well it works as i haven't tested it with other people yet.
No crashes for me or anything but when i was typing fast bbm would hang for a little bit and than type in the word. Reloaded BBM 5.0 and it seems better now but i can still make it lag if i try to type fast.
other than that its pretty cool.

Just got it today. Seems pretty decent. A lot more polished. I liked the other version for it's simplicity though.

You shouldn't need a data plan, Blackberry PIN don't hit the provider's network, it goes through the RIM server. Well I guess it would need to travel through the network to get there. Okay, nevermind.Originally posted by Neil4Speed

ugh, stupid.
so BBM 5.0 started lagging like crazy and i couldn't do anything
so i battery pulled and it came back online, but my BBM disappeared.
in its place there was a icon to download BBM again...so i download and it says you already have bbm installed....
tested it a bunch of times just now and it seems to be on there now, but we will see
