Steel rims are different for different makes??

Will any steel rim fit Honda or Chev with 4 bolts?
Is there any difference in how they slide on the hub?

My daughters 2004 civic she bought a few months ago came with winter wheels. The rim does not slide over the hub hardly at all.
Essentially it's riding on the studs. To me that's not so good!
Wrong rims??????

If the bolt pattern is the same, it shouldnt make a difference. Another difference is the offset.

WRONG

Hub sizes are not the same make to make

ie. nissan rims will fit on toyota (with hub centric rings) toyota will not fit on nissan

Honda's hub size is usually 64.1mm. If the wheel's hub is any larger you would need hub centric rings, whereas if the wheel's hub is smaller, then it won't fit (your case).
