Telus Modem Free?
How can I get this free modem from Telus?

If it's self-installed, dont you need to go to a Telus store and buy one? Or do you get a rebate thing? I know there is a few people that work at Telus so just thought I'd ask.

I just got one for my uncle. You call them, and they will send it through the mail. It doesn't include a network card though, so thats a bitch cause you still have to buy one.

What do you mean by network card? I have a wireless ethernet card so I'm sure I only need the modem....

It took about 4 business days to arrive. And if you have a wireless card, then there is no need for one.

I was going to go to Telus store today, but I think it's like 49.99 to get one....
Just noticed on the website they send you one for free so I was wondering how that worked....
So I assume you just send it back when you disconnect the service?
Also, do they hassle you if you go over limit? Shaw has only hassled me once, but I was over 100 gigs

They probably will hassle you if you go over they're limit.
You can get a free modem at Future Shop, its a mail in rebate, but you get the modem that day.

actually they DONT hassle you, its Shaw who is known for that.

Well right now you get a free rental modem with adsl......
call 310 - 5555 and say i want to sign up for adsl.... tell them your from shaw and you get the first month free....
But the current promotion is first 6 months at 16.95 if your plannig to get anything else like calling features or a different Long distance plane there usually is a better deal for that if you sign up for ADSL....
