    Default BMW (..!..) Warning Icon

Hey, got my tires changed today, about 5 minutes later a light came on, looks like (..!..).

Any ideas? Already have an appointment for next weekend, made before this popped up. I can't seem to find the book which shows all the symbols and what they mean.

From what I remember from my manual I think that's tire pressure monitor symbol. Yellow and Red colors depending how low it is. Just have the pressure checked. Do your new wheels have TPMS?

There should be a reset tire pressure info function on your on board computer.

Of course, it's not to be confused with the (. Y .) dashboard light.

You have to reset the TPS monitoring when you change tires. RTFM.

Canadian BMWs do not have TPMS sensors. TP is determined by the ABS sensors in each wheel.

The manual mentions that you must reset the TPMS any time you change the wheels / tires.

Ohh, ok, I've had tires changed on it before at the same place, maybe the guy did it for me last time but I doubt it. Thanks for the heads up though, hopefully I can find the manual.

    Lazy fucker.

If TPM light is on, stop the car. Hold it down till it turns off. Let go of the button and press and hold again for about 10 seconds. This turns on learning mode. Drive for about a minute till it shuts off. It has now learned the current tire's pressures, and you're good to go.

Yeah, everything was mentioned already, but whenever you adjust the tire pressures significantly: it'll alert the TPMS.

Just like what Rage said, that is all you have to do.

I always laugh when things like "I got the tires on my BMW changed today" turn into "So I took in my mom's BMW for an appointment to get her tires changed today".

Yeah, it's mom's car, but I drive it every day, she drives it once a week and I do all the maintenance related stuff, I don't see what the problem is. They are my tires, I payed for them so nothing I said is incorrect, as usual.

I haven't changed what I said once, dumbass.
