Default FS: Complete Tape backup Solution.

Picked up another backup solution so this one can go........

    1 x Sony SDT9000 DDS3 Tape Drive

    • 12 GB Native\ 24 GB Compressed capacity and 2.4 MB/s sustained data transfer rate (with 2:1 compression) Sony drives are a little faster than the rest. (seagate, HP, Etc.)

    • Sony Hyper MetalT Head reduces error rate compared to conventional ferrite MIG heads

    • Backward compatible to DDS-2 and DDS-1 format

    • Sony's patented Super Head CleanerT mechanism reduces particle build-up on read/write heads

    • High reliability with 200,000 POH MTBF at 20% duty cycle

This drive comes in a terminarted, self-powered, external cabinet, with a SCSI cable to connect it with the included Adaptec 2940U SCSI controller. It also comes with 10 DDS3 Tapes (12\24 GB) and a brand spanking new cleaning cartridge. This is a complete backup package capable of backing up 240GB with the included tapes.

If you need any more info left me know....

    Pics available by request.

Looking for cash or trades.....please PM offers. Thanks.

You gotta post a ballpark man - I'm in the industry and I still would have no idea what it's worth.

Im not exactly sure what it is worth either.... The tapes are $20 each at Mem Ex. (new) and the cleaning tape is $25. So thats almost $225. The drives are still being sold by HP for about $500 USD. So thats another $650 or so (new). The external chassis is worth a couple hundred new aswell. Same with the SCSI card.

But seeing as it is all used and it might not be too easy to find a buyer. Lets start with $250 OBO. That seem fair?
