anyone?????
A proper fender roll can be done at any reputable bodyshop like Screamin' Paintworks or Maranello. Those will cost you though, as most of these places will charge 1-2 hours labour for each fender. To save some money, try to get someone you trust with a fender roller to do it, and make sure you get them a nice christmas present .
A metal pipe will do you well.
If anyone can do it, check out some of the vw shops around town like concept 1 or similar. If they can't do it, they can point you to someone who can.
If you take anything I have to say seriously, you're gunna have a bad time.

Last time I checked with screamin paintworks they were charging 75$ a corner, that was mid summer.

its easy to do but hard to do properly and evenly. Also it really depends the quality of the paint and amount of heat used while doing it in order for it to turn out properly or else you will have chipped paint then touchup time
Turbo lag is worth the wait!!
I rented a fender roller from a Beyond member and spent about 25 minutes per fender with a heat gun after spending about a half hour making sure everything was clean.
If you've got patience and an afternoon then I'd highly recommend doing it yourself.
I did the same thing, Used a metal pole...although I have no paint to worry about lol so it came out niceOriginally posted by Scope951

If you are planning on rolling the fenders of that GS300 I have a heads up for you, there are mini plastic divets you need to remove, and if you do not roll carefully with plenty of heat and very slowly you will cause uneven waves in your quarter panel, I have done this personally on a GS400 and it did take close to 2 hours to get it so the uneveness did not happen

Can someone who speaks brown please translate this for me please?
I have a fender roller available for $40/day, if you want to do it yourself.
Exactly why I don't want to take a baseball bat or a pipe to it. Its not a 20 year old rusted civic, and I've heard of lots of horror stories with fender waving. Sounds like Screamin Paintworks is the place but I think they are booking like two months in advance unfortunately..Originally posted by shadowz

If you use Jason Lange's roller and go slowly you won't get any waving whatsoever.

We aren't booking 2 months for fender rolling. We only need a few days notice. If you are able to leave the car for the day you would have it back by the end of the day.
Fender rolling is physically damaging to a car. There is no guarantee/warranty against paint damage.
Inevitably paint will crack. Heat has a very minimal effect with fender rolling. The fortunate thing with the paint cracking it usually happens on the inner wheelwell that was rolled. We feather out any cracking that may happen and then apply undercoating.
At a price of $75 per corner it's a reasonable price for the work involved.
If customers are wanting a guarantee against paint damage the cost would have to be closer to $575 a corner to allow for any refinishing costs.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the shop or just PM me.
We also rent out the roller for those who want to try it themselves.
you got pm

I had screaming paintworks do my E36 back a couple years ago.. I was scared shitless that the paint was going to crack but they did a great a job.. cost me about $160 with tax.
Honestly if you don't know what your doing, keep the piece of mind and have them do it

Maranello does a good job, or a quick job depending on what you want. I'd recommend them first.
