Unless you get a clear bra over the new paint, it's going to chip just as easily, if not easier.

Paint these days isn't what it used to be.
So my advice would be to get a clear bra if your going to pay for a front bumper repaint for cosmetic reasons.

and if you cheap out on the paint job, it may not match the rest of the car and then you'll be in a lot worse of a position.

yea in a paint booth, he paints cars for Toyota so i dont think it is a shitty job, the catch is that you have to prep it yourself. If you are worried about making it look perfect i would suggest a blend on the front half of the car to make it look flawless because paint does fade over time and your car seems to be 7 years old. Either way its just an option i gave to you, you can choose who ever to paint your bumper. I do always hear people giving great reviews about screamin' paint works.

Good idea NOT to prep your own car then bring it to someone else to paint. Different paint companies require different products for prep, since this is on a bumper, there's also plastic prep products.

Also remember your plastic bumpers and metal (fenders or quarter panel) will have different color variance even if sprayed with the same paint mix because they react to the paint differently, and reflect differently. That's just the way it is, even from factory (look at 5th gen Honda Preludes on their plastic bumpers and fenders) . (i.e. if its a metallic paint, you'll see the flakes reflecting a lot better with metal panel than plastic bumpers/parts)

I would consider under $500 as a good price myself, if bumper removed. If it's spot repaired while on the vehicle, I'd say under $200
