It did, for a little over 14 months in Canada. Hopefully there won't be any battery life troubles like with the 9000.Originally posted by Splooge
SOB I thought the bold would stay the "best blackberry" for awhile.

There's a huge difference in battery life depending whether you use a case with magnet, or sans case.Originally posted by dino_martini

When I'm not using my Bold, it goes into the case below. I can go for a full day of constant email/BBM/SMS and still have a minimum of 3/5 battery bars left by midnight.
Hm, well my battery life is 'meh.' From 7AM-11PM, I always end up wtih 30% life left and that's with surfing, txt, BBM and GPS on.Originally posted by GQBalla

I don't think the GPS module sucks up alot because when I turned it off, the change was quite negligible so I just leave it on now.
Huh. I don't put mine on the case because the stock beltclip case is too bulky and the slipcase that you have there can't fit my Bold with my BestSkinEver protector on it.Originally posted by blinkme_210

why not go with telus?
anybody know if this is bigger than the 8900 or the same size?
thanks
those with bold battery problems, have you been putting it in standby or just keylock? made a HUGE difference when i found out
...putting it on standby makes the battery last so much longer.
For my curve i would have it go into auto-standby with an app. The battery lasted 30%-40% because the backlight wouldnt come on in my pocket just from the buttons being pressed.
Ill be sure to do a review when i get my 9700. If i dont like it over my iphone you can see it for sale here in a few weeks haha.
Its only thicker than the 8900. Otherwise pretty much same dimensions.Originally posted by turbotrip

Just bought one. Haven't used it yet though. It does look a lot more plain than the 9000 in terms of keyboard, but the form factor is so much nicer than that 9000. Can't wait to set it up tonight for use!
i just picked one of these up today. i love the phone and the track pad. no more stuck track ball. haahahha

Got mine tonight as well. When I installed BBM and did the reboot I had the pull the battery because it froze during startup. Other than that it's be flawless. I'd HIGHLY advise anyone looking at getting a 9700 to check out this hofo thread for things to look for, I was certainly examining mine thoroughly before I agreed to take it.

EDIT: I just noticed youtube won't load any videos. Anyone else having this problem, or I am doing something wrong?
