Floor Speakers

I have a small bar/restaurant with a LCD tv that has crap for sound. I want to add a receiver and a pair of tower speakers (can't run wires for 5.1 or anything).

I used to see some relatively cheap towers that were 150+W for around 400 bones (Athenas, Polks etc) but now all I can see is Energys/Missions/JBLs which are out of my price range for a non-audiophile env.

Anyone have some suggestions for some 140W+ or so towers that are not enormous and cost under 6 bills for the pair?

Receiver I've been looking at is the Pioneer VSX-519-K with 110W per channel. I'll just leave it in Stereo mode.

I'd get a pair of Paradigm Titan Monitors. They are large bookshelf speakers though, not floor standers in case that is imperative (but I would think you would want them to be discrete in a restaurant environment). Plus they will sound better than just about anything in that range, even though you don't really care. Try to avoid spending any money on speakers/cables, etc. at any chain store.

Also keep in mind that requesting a maximum wattage doesn't mean much, as some speakers are more efficient than others and most receivers are over-rated when it comes to power.

In fact, I think Sounds of Music has a pair left at 30% off MSRP right now, so they should come in under $400. They have some floor standers from the same model line as well 30% off, as they will not be actively selling Paradigm anymore.

I've got a set of Polk Audio Towers that I do not need anymore as I went with a different setup. They are the Monitor 70's, and are bnib.
