Feliks Auto Body Ltd. legally threatens to remove poor review

As per our policy, we post up every legal threat against our forums. This is the latest one.


Just like the last one, a quick warning to those that have posted about Feliks Auto Body Ltd. If what you posted is the truth or opinion, there is nothing they can do legally to beyond.ca or to you.

If, however, what you posted is not the truth, then they can have a court order to have us remove the post, release your information, and they can sue you directly.

We're here to provide a forum which often includes reviews that are negative in nature. We can not determine who's story is accurate, therefore we will not remove reviews based simply on what one person says. Removing such content would sacrafice the integrity of our forums. Of course, if you are posting a negative review that is not truthful, you will be responsible for your actions. You are always free to edit your own posts.

Did a little research and dug up a little more information.

hemi signed up and wrote a positive review. She also used the report a post feature to request us delete the thread, signing it with her real name as well as an employee of Feliks Auto Body, along with the usual legal threats. It also turns out hemi and MELICIOUS are the same person on the same computer.

Upon further investigation, it turns out that this person is the girlfriend of the owner, who works at Feliks auto body.

Their legal letter states that someone posted information that is not true. Well, I think I should send a legal letter to THEM requesting them to personally remove their fake review, because that ALSO is information which is not true.

I'm interested in learning on what grounds Felix and LGC are on in trying to take this post down. If it's the post I have just read, "unfair" and "defamatory" is totally false on this post.

TeggyPimp95 gives his experience as a warning to others.

A) Felt they were overpriced for the work done. Opinion.
Totally fair, I could say I felt my lunch was overpriced for the way it was cooked or presented on the plate. Sue me?

B) Gave a VERY detailed description of the rental vehicle and stated his concern for his own safety while driving it. If this was the case, then it is a fair description.

C) Said they did a crap job on his car. Brought it home, found nearly a dozen flaws, air bubbles, etc. Any reputable dealership will stand by their work. A customer would have no practical way to "create" air bubbles once he got home (pending it was dry and ready to be given back to the customer in the first place) - nor would anybody WANT to create a reason to return their vehicle for servicing.

Another case of a hired firm as a scare tactic.

When will companies learn not to fuck with beyond.ca. This auto body shop is going to spend good money on a lawyer that is going to be able to do nothing for them. After this is all said and done the only thing they will have to show is a #1 hit on google.ca about how they got screwed.
