Default "Special" Ed Stelmach - Leadership Review Vote

Stelmach garners 80% of the vote this weekend. I'm personally finished with this party. Wildrose!

This. Exactly this. I can't support a party who would continue to have him as their leader. Dinning should have won it in the first vote. Now with how badly they're screwing up and yet STILL SUPPORTING this idiot and therefore the constant streak of epic fail, I'm gladly pledging support to Wildrose.

They basically said anything lower than 55% would be a failure for Ed and anything over 75% would be a failure of the party.

Hope wildrose get ready and ramp up capable candidates.

I think Dinning would have been great.

I will vote in the next election for who ever has the best chance of beating the concervatives. If it happens to be the Liberals, so be it.

As crappy as it is, it seems like politics is always just checks and balances. The liberals fucking blow, so you vote in the conservatives. They start to suck, then you vote someone else in.

Wildrose for me too. I liked Dinning a lot, he would've been great for Alberta.

I watched that video of Smith and she didn't really say much of anything. Classic political "talk for 20 minutes without saying anyting". Just because they're different than Ed & Friends doesn't mean they're better. I need to see some substance.

Given they're still fairly new, I think all that will come in time.

Ya know in Saskatchewan and political party happened to get created their because of the exact same thing happening in our province which was a lack of options. The problem isn't necessarily with Ed or the Conservatives but the fact we have no other option in our province.

The NDP will never get in and hell will need to freeze over before alberta votes liberal. So we have one political party that runs the province for the vast majority of a century with the ability to run the province in any way they see fit.

This is not a healthy democratic system. Personally the system we have in Alberta is more fascist than anything else and it's really annoying. I don't doubt within 10 years we'll seethe wildrose in power.

People thought the Sask Party was just a joke in Saskatchewan until heck they formed the government.

The Sask party had been building support for a number of years. It didn't happen overnight. It also didn't hurt them that their leader (Brad Wall) is a huge Rider fan.

This has been growing in Alberta for decades. It is the key contributing factor as to why so few people vote. I mean I would guarantee you we'll see the number of people vote increase drastically when Albertans see that there is a realistic political party that can represent what they want.

I mean I myself had the PC party in Alberta and wouldn't ever vote for them, but then again I wouldn't ever vote liberal or ndp so why would I waste my time going to vote?

This has been a bit of a plague in our province since the 80's.
