Default Clutch shudder/chatter on take off

What causes this? Worn mount? Clutch nearing its life expectancy?

possible worn/broken mount, or glazed flywheel surface/fluid on flywheel

hot spots on the pressure plate and flywheel from too much riding, or too much power and too little clutch. Could also be from oil leaking on the clutch from a leaky valvecover

Not revving it enough on takeoff, if it's a performance clutch and not a worn out stock replacement.

If it's hotspots and they aren't too terrible they can go away after a while of proper driving.

also, it could be your rear main seal leaking oil into the tranny. I had the same issue when I had my civic a few years back, and it some of it got on the flywheel...

Hot spots on your clutch as mentioned. I had a car like that before, it just got worse when it got cold out because of the metal reacting to the cold. It's from resting your foot on the clutch while driving.

It's the same as rotors when they shake, the end result is hot spots on the clutch. These are areas where there is more material than other due to run out on the flywheel surface.

The cause of this is due to contaminants on the flywheel or the clutch disk, usually resulting from not prepping the surfaces correctly. It can also be caused by excessive slippage when engaging the clutch, as mentioned above by resting your foot on the clutch pedal.

Slow engagement of the clutch with low RPMs is the best thing you can do for your clutch, engaging with only releasing the clutch out and not using any gas dramatically reduces wear on your clutch.

Unfortunately at this point you need to remove the flywheel, have it resurfaced and possibly replace the friction disk and pressure plate.
