Default Good furniture store/ bean bag store

    Hello,

Just bought my first place and need to firnish it all. There are like a million furniture stores in calgary, what do you guys recommend for a good priced, good quality store?

Also, anyone know where you can buy huge bean bag chairs? Not like the kids stuff, but much bigger furniture style bags?

I'm actually really close to getting a couch set from Sears Home Center. They have the best warranty, the best quality and best prices for what they have to offer.

Dunno, I just visited a million different places and really liked the price to quality ratio there, but just visit everywhere and see what you like.

we just reno'ed our place and got a bunch of new furniture from EQ3, Revolve, IKEA and Urban Barn.

i'd suggested setting a budget and going from there.

most place have websites so that a good place to start.

I seen this couch at other places for (I think it was) $5 or 6 grand or around there....

    I bought it for $2900

    Quite happy with it.

Pretty damn reasonable prices. So I've been reffering just about everybody there.

    Budget yourself first.

Only thing I would "splurge" on is storage and a nice chair for myself (if i was buying).

I boought a leather sectional (similar to the one posted above) at Nordesign, it's excellent quality and it was $2000 off during boxing week. They have some pretty good sales there from time to time.

EQ3 is good for chairs, ottomans etc because you can pick from tons of fabrics so you can make sure it matches everything else you have.

Revolve has a huge store and tons of contemporary furniture, but the service can be crappy at times.

If you find any large beanbags please post where you found them, as I wouldn't mind getting a couple myself.

The huge bean bags are called fatboys, I got one and LOVE it, so good.

I got mine on 11th SW, just can't remember the name of the place. It had a ton of Marimekko...ugh, I will think of it.

Here is their website. http://www.fatboy.com/products/ Lots of cool designs and these things are bulletproof, I have jumped on mine countless times smashed.

I have a SUMO bag, google it as I can't remember the site. It was 100 bucks or something shipped. The kids love jumping/sleeping on it. It's the perfect gaming chair!

Does it use big size beans or very small sized ones?

Yea, they've got some pretty neat stuff in that store! I think I need to head down there and check out what's new in stock.

Sumo's are unbeatable when it comes to bean bag style chairs (hell, they are damn near a bean bag bed)

Meh, they are cheap copies of fatboys. Get the original, they cost more but are so rad. Mine was $350ish. I'm 6'2" and I am so comfortable in it.

^ surprisingly: its not hard to clean. Just water & clean rag most of the time. Grease & filth is definately an issue, but asides from that: just plain water works fine.
Easier to keep clean then pure black leather honestly.

Tiny tiny foam beads...not the huge peanut size ones. From the way they feel under the fabric I would say probably 5mm wide?
