Sorry I know this thread is somewhere else but I just joined beyond to share my AWFUL experience with them.
I put a deposit down on a TSX of $500 dollars which on the bill of sale said "deposit refundable subject to approval and vehicle availability".
They take forever to get back to me on if I had been approved or not and when they finally do they start requesting another $1500 dollars down for a down payment, I decide I would not like to give them another $1500 dollars down and would rather save up my money for a future car purchase.
Then, they're 19 year old car salesman explains to me that I have lost my deposit because it was subject to approval even though I would have only really been approved with x amount of dollars down that I did NOT agree to give.
Stupidly enough they didn't even get me to sign the bill of sale so I actually have not really legally agreed to anything with them.
The car salesman argues with me but still tries to sell me a car, saying that my deposit MUST go to a car from them or else I have lost it.
"I think your a chillin' girl, I wouldn't want your deposit to be lost".
"Nothing comes for free you know, the fee to see if you had gotten approved was $499.00 which is where your deposit already went".
"Everytime we send in a financing application we get charged, nothing comes for free"
What the fuck is this goof trying to say to me? That I got charged 500 dollars for his "stellar sales service". As I recall, most of the time in sales, work is done for free, unless you get a sale. I worked in sales and would spend hours on clients and not get paid. The car salesperson continuous to go on and on about why I lost my deposit not making any sense and clearly having no idea what he is talking about. I ask him why I gave a deposit to Country Hills Toyota that also read on the bill of sale "subject to approval" and had no trouble getting my deposit back and he explains because they are the bigger money they have the expenses to do work for free?! Right....
I agree to letting him find me another car for a lower price, he again takes about a week to get back to me, I finally decide I want nothing to do with them and try to contact the owner and financing manager Adrian,
I call and ask to speak to Adrian, the sales guy who answers asks who I am and after I say my name he says, "Oh april we will actually have Nadim call you".
Nadim (my 19 year old sales guy who says nothing is for free).
I try to contact Adrian again and apparently he has left the building? Although I truly believe he is avoiding me.
Anyway good thing I didn't a damn thing with this piece of shit company, I'm going there tomorrow to claim back my 5 bills and hopefully don't have any more trouble.
