Fun online trivia game - ConQUIZtador
My buddy told me about this game, apparently it's huge in Romania and Serbia. I now found out that there is an English language version out, but it's lacking players. I thought what better place to post at than Beyond (I'm not affiliated with the site or anything like that, just want to see more people play).
It's a simple trivia game, where three people play at a time. You can register, or play as a guest in the practice mode, as long as there are three people ready, the game will start.
Once the game starts all players are assigned randomly on a map, and a question comes up. The person who answers correctly (or closest to the correct answer) gets to claim two additional areas on the map (and receives extra points), the person who got second place claims one additional area, and the last person does not get to claim.
This is repeated twice more until the entire map is claimed. The next part involves players "attacking" other players by making a claim on their territory. A player selects an opposing player's territory, and the two of them enter the trivia game, while the third player can only observe. This is also repeated three times for each player.
If the attacking player answers the question correctly, he claims the territory and gets extra points. If the defending player answers correctly, he gets to keep his territory.
I've played the Serbian language version, and it can be very fun. Players may submit their own questions, they may judge how difficult a question is, or notify the owners if a question/answer is incorrect. A daily track is kept of how well a person does, also how many games they've played (These stats are only kept for players who register I believe).
The thing I like about it is that it takes only a few mintues to finish a match (providing there are two other players ready), so it can be played at any time. Since there aren't that many players right now, I'd suggest bookmarking it and checking every once in a while to see if there are enough players online.
