100,000 Original Km's!

Whoo! After 5 years, my 2004 Outlander has finally hit the 100k milestone:



I'm posting because it's quite a thrill knowing that you helped put 100,000 km's into this car (original family car) from day one and it's actually my first car EVER, so it's even more special; learned how to drive with this car, first ever cross-border drive to California, first ever road trips with friends...



It's a fun ride and I love it!

Now is it weird to get this feeling or did anybody else get this feeling when they first started driving?

LOL What?!

But it's awesome knowing that it still works well after you've driven it! At least mine does (regular tune-ups and synthetic oil rule.)

The winter beater is headed for 200k before the winter is over, but we bought it with 181,000km on it so that doesn't really count. I passed 100,000km in our golf (bought it new), passed 400,000km in my old subaru wagon (bought with 290,000km on it) and passed 300,000km in my old mazda 626 (bought with 221,000km on it).

Milestones are nice, but hitting 100,000km hurts. That is the first mark where you begin to realize your car that felt brand new for the last 100,000km is getting old.... the first thing i want to do when it happens is get rid of it. Once you pass 100,000km and start hitting 200,000km and 300,000km it feels like a sense of accomplishment, but the first one hurts

I realize that past this milestone is going to be an uphill battle and things will eventually snap/pop/break (knock on wood.)

Maybe because it's the first time I've seen this but it feels like an accomplishment.

My first car is about to hit 100K. I wish I had something good to say about it, but it's an effing Aveo, so no... I don't.
I would sell the car but the damn thing isn't worth anything. So I guess I will hold on to it and drive it into the ground.

Although, in 100K nothing serious has ever broken, so I am down with that.
