    Default Beyond winter wheeling run

    JANUARY 10TH BEYOND WHEELING RUN

    Things recommended for the run
    - Tires with good tread, prefer MT or AT tread (needed)
    - Safe front and rear tow points (hooks, shackles, trailer hitch), pretty much needed, hate hooking up to bumpers and axles
    - CB radio, not needed but nice if a few people have one
    - Winch, not needed but nice to have a few in the group
    - Whatever recovery gear you have (straps, tow straps, HiLift)
    - Enough food and water for you and any passengers for the day
    - Warm clothes, extra set of clothes
    - Good boots
    -Tools and extra fluids

We'll meet at the Smittys parking lot at 8:30AM and be on the road by 9:00AM. You can either meet us there or meet me in the south (Rockyview Hospital area). If one of the guys in the north wants to set a meetup point, that would be awesome. I like to use Channel 10 on the CB, for those that have them.

Mmmmm snow run... Leaning to yes; the 90 4runner on snow tires should be up for this; might have to look at the rear towpoint though...

Depends on the weather though, the ladies can be grouchy when it gets cold

My brothers Bday is on that day, so I'll confirm at a later date.

Few things to add for now.

-Vehicles MUST be equipped with a 2 speed LOW Range Transfer case.
    -Shovel
    -Warm Clothing
    -Boots
    -Extra food
    -Sleeping bag
    -HiLift (If you have one)
    -Tool kit
    -Extra Coolant
    -Extra Oil
-Recovery Points FRONT and REAR, your vehicle MUST have these! If you don't have them, don't come!

The 28th is on a Monday, which I probably can't go due to work. Can we move this to a weekend?

Just a hint to those eyeballing the monday part - Saturday would be boxing day - as it falls on a weekend, you're probably going to have monday in lieu...

In other words - just about everyone has it as a stat holiday...

Alak, I have the new map. 3 more trails opened up, they look pretty fun from the pics I have seen so far.

If you want I can send you a link.

Its just already exsisting quad trails open to trucks. There the margret lake loop, which looks like it could be some fun.

Thats what I think we should do, a couple big hills there that I know of (never did the whole thing).

I think we should find a date that works good for everyone a little later in January. I think everyone's schedule is up in the air with the holidays, especially around new years.

Perhaps the 10th for the beyond wheeling run?

Later in the month works for me, I haven't even set a tire on these new trails yet and now with the other run I have to lead it might be a bit much. Later in January everyone should be back from holiday and back to a normal routine.

The 10th is fine for me, just need to know for sure so I can get the time off work
