Default Buying Used Iphone but don't have sim card to test yet (Bell Mobility)

So I might be picking up a bell iphone in a couple hours, or tomorrow.

But I have no way of testing out if the iphone actually works or not. I'm not too familiar with iphones in general, but I usually program and register my own phones, online through the Bell website, when I do switch phones.

I'm wondering if I can do this with the Bell Iphone as well. Can I simply type in the serial number online when it says "change phones" and see if it actually goes through?

Or do I have to have a sim card to operate the iphone from bell?

If I do need a sim card, do I need anything to get one from a Bell store? Or do I simply show up and say I need one and they'll give me one with my number on it? Any more details on this?

    Any help is appreciated.
I would call bell customer service or visit a bell store but they are closed right now =(

    Thank you in advance!

you can show up to a bell store and they "should" have test sim cards to use on the phone.

than you can go and purchase a sim card and they will switch your number to it.

not sure for bell but for telus you can walk into any store that carries telus phones (ie. futureshop) and buy a sim and then register it online and toss it into any sim phone that will work on their network, no info on the phone needed

For registering a sim card online...do I simply go to the "change phone" feature like normal or is there another link/instructions that I have to follow.

Telus should be similiar to bell.

Just got back from the futureshop near me and they sold out...I'll have to try another store tomorrow.
