OK, this is actually about a friend, but we are at a loss for solutions to this issue.
He recently picked up a nvidia XXX brand GTX 260 gpu. After installing it, his computer got all sorts of messed up.
So, he uninstalled the drivers, removed the gpu, and went to running the comp on its integrated graphics from the mobo. However, for some reason the FSB and its multiplier had changed (this is what he tells me), and now all graphics on the computer run 10X as fast as they should. Cursors flash a billion times per second, videos that are a minute long play in 10 seconds (but the audio is fine)?
His FSB and multiplier are currently locked in the BIOS from us changing it manually, but we'll check out if CPU-Z (or a similiar program) can do anything for us. I know the the processor is an AMD athlon 2650e (uhg), but forget what the multipler and FSB are normally supposed to be.
Thanks for any help guys!
