Default 3M clear bra (trimline or Thompson Graphics?)

getting the 3M trimline done asap here and debating between Trimline in the NE and Thompson Graphics.

Trimline i believe does custom cutouts for everything, so im worried it might cut into the paint

Thompson does machine cutouts from templates. The only thing im concerned about is that it might not wrap around the edges of the hood and fenders, leaving 1/4 inch of the paint at the edge uncovered, making it more noticeable/ not as good looking.

Anyone have any recommendations on either of these?

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

I've used Thompson for all my cars that needed 3M. They do a lot of the exotics in town too. Can't go wrong.

Or if you want great work at prices cheaper than the above, use Travis at Car Cosmetix. He does it out of his garage in Copperfield. Great guy to deal with.

with your issue based on the edges showing, shadowtint offers wrapped edges, and im sure thompson does aswell.

all patterns at shadow are computer cut patterns, great fit and they can customize the patterns to wrap edges and hide that leading edge on your hood..

That's 5 people vouching for Thompson.

What set them apart from others, especially TI?

    Skill? Material? Price? Service?

Refine Auto Salon or Thompson Graphics all the way.

Either shop can do custom cut or template cut kits for your vehicle, just have to go in and talk to them and not read everything online.

I have had several cars (3 or 4) done at Trimline-one with a bodykit so it was all custom work and I have always been more than satisfied. I find their prices are better too.

so just an update.. I decided to get my car done at shadow tint... wanted to go with Thompson but when I went down in person and spoke with them, they said they dont wrap around the hood cuz moisture gets in and it peels.. blah blah blah....

its already enough that you see the line across the hood, and i didnt want to see more lines all around the body panels.... Shadow tint wraps it around for an extra $20 i think, So that + that they dont cut on the car like trimline, made the decision final

    covered:
    24 inches on hood
    Full front bumper
    Headlights + foglights
    Mirrors
    Roof up to the sunroof
    Pillars holding windshield in place

Really happy with the results, now i just have to keep it clean on this white car

The Plexus plastic cleaner you can buy at Blackfoot Motorsports is really good for cleaning 3M. It's in an aerosol can so just spray on and wipe off. Easy. Do it every 2nd car wash and should prevent it from going yellow over time.

Just a heads up regarding Trimline. Close friends of my family have recently sold Trimline and an old business acquaintance of mine has made the purchase.

When the family friends owned it, they had done my last 3 trucks and did really good work. I am not sure if they kept the same staff, but it's a decent place to get anything done that they offer.

He is also looking into vinyl wrapping of anyone was interested.
