    Default Old School Datsun/Nissan Fans

    I just saw this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoW05R43gRU

And I just love how this car sounds - especially at the 1:15 mark.

I have seen pictures of these cars with the bolt on fenders and clear headlight covers. I was just wondering what year was "the" year to get? Is the S30 the same as the 240z? If you know of one that is available let me know.

Love those cars... if I don't find a clean s13 coupe, then I'll seriously consider a 260z (with plans of a rb25 going in).

Not looking for a fixer upper - bodywork alone can cost more than the purchase price of a clean car.

LOL man you have too much spare time to look for more cars, get out and fix the ones you got already

Reasons why Drumheller area wouldn't make a good race track venue...

model year 1970 thru 1978 were basically all the same car. 240z, 260z, and 280z were all S30 chassis code.

pre 1975 models had lighter doors and lighter bumpers as they did not have to conform to the crash test regulations beginning in that year.

There are many different block/head/piston combinations that you can build using components from other years. The L-engine is very widespread & versatile; I even drove a forklift with the same block/different head as one of my cars.

edit: go for one with as little rust as possible, everything else is relatively cheap.

Love the engine note on this one too:

Not a stock engine I know but still pretty sweet.

    Haha, one vs...

Seriously though, I have an RB26DETT sitting in my garage that would be perfect for an older 240/60/80Z

Nice, very nice '73 240Z on Kijiji

Any unmolested '73 datsun without rust issues is very nice in my book rest is easy to make better.

Looks like a perfect starting point for an RB swap.
