Question for the pussy owners

I come home late night, and there's this cute little kitten sitting on my door step. (in tonight's weather)

I'm just not sure if this is ok weather to be leaving animals outside (is it???)

So anyways, this thing was meowing at me, then I meowed back, then it meowed some more... then I was like what's wrong buddy, then it just kept on meowing.

So I opened the garage man-door and the thing dashes in the garage, so I got it some milk, and got a cardboard cat scratch out (I bought it for the neighbour's cat, as I don't own one myself)

I got the garage heater cranked now, but it's shaken and I believe scared, it's still hiding in the truck axle... but that's so cold... I go check up on it every 30 mins... But it doesn't seem he likes the custom tire bed I made

Should I kick him out the curb as this could be some little kid's cat? Or should I at least keep him inside for the night, until it heats up tomorrow morning? (I don't know who's kitten it is)

good on you for doing the right thing. Not enough of it these days. I say keep the kitty in until it gets warmer. No collar = stray cat.

If you get the chance look into its ears and see if it has a tatoo. If not lightly press against its back in between it's shoulder blades to feel for a ID Chip (if it does have one bring it to the vet so they can notify the owners).

I wouldn't give the cat cow's milk though. Some clean water should be all it needs unless it's crazy hungry. If you're having troubles luring him out try using boiled chicken breast.

edit: in the pic his right (looking face on) eye looks squinted... is it like that all the time? Any goop or anything?

Same thing happened with me, I left this girls condo at like 2am, and on the way out, I see this cat standing in the middle of the snow. It didn't seem phased by me when I walked by, so I started to think maybe it was stuck or something, cause you usually see a cat sitting, and not standing for long periods of time. I continued to my car, only to think, what the hell is a cat doing out in this weather, so I trekked back and it was still in the same spot. Figured I would take it home, and deal with it in the morning. As I got closer to is, the thing ran away. So at least I tried.

Can I come with you to take a look at him? Check him out, see if he's tattoed or sickly. I don't mind giving him a place to chill either until it's sorted out.

Agreed, give it a dish of water instead of the milk to keep from making it sick. Try to check the ears for a tattoo, but just because there is no tattoo doesn't mean it is not identified, some cat owners only have the microchips installed with no tattoo. To check for a microchip you would have to take it to a vet to be scanned.

k cool, I just noticed the puffy/fluffy cheeks in the second pic of that ad as a similarity, and it looked silver to me =P

Chances are it is someones cat, however it is probably safer with you than out running around (cars, coyotes, cold etc...). If it was a cat that was outside a lot I don't think it would so willingly wait for you and run into your garage, most outdoor cats are pretty street smart.

Some water and canned cat food and he/she will be happy. Any vet will scan the cat for free as well to look for the microchip (they do migrate so can be near the neck, chest, shoulders etc...).

Not sure what color I would call the cat-is almost a reverse seal point. Cream with dilute/himalayan colored ears. Some tattoos can be quite deep in the ear too, my one cat is from the SPCA and her tattoo is about the size of a nickle but is deep in her ear.
