18000$ for 45 people = 400$ per person.
I am sure some beyonders dropped more than that for new years eve and they make maybe 1% of what these cheap fuckers make in a year.
NHL players make 400$ in a matter of seconds WTF is wrong with paying a premium on new years in a high end restaurant?
A fine bunch of role models we have here.
Then to not leave a tip takes it to the next level of douchbagery.
They deserve the bad press.
I wonder what they charge for autographs?

Wow....way to follow along. Did you read any of the posts or just the title, first and last post? Obviously not...as you failed to see they DID leave a tip. 18% to be exact..almost $2,000. Talk about face-palm.Originally posted by autosm

The price per person was not even the issue..but thanks for showing up.
As JustGo so eloquently put it:
For the most part, the lot of you are retarded.

A day later, when approached by The Globe and Mail for an interview, Mr. Terrigno sought to strike a deal for $1,000 to talk to the newspaper, saying he would be turning over the money to a relief fund for earthquake victims in L'Aquila, Italy. He said he already had struck a deal from a television network, that his story was “100 per cent accurate” and that the money raised was “for the betterment, not of myself, but of people who deserve the money.” Then, on Sunday, Mr. Terrigno suddenly announced that he had reached an agreement with the Oilers about the tab and that he was now “ecstatic” about the agreement. All the Oilers would do was confirm that the issue had been put to rest.

A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

I hope Flames players stop going there.
I'm all for bashing Oilers for being cheap but the restaurant owner sounds shady.
Even if what he claimed to have happened is the truth, the whole thing about donating the money to the charity is cheesy as all hell. As if he would do that.
Aww sweetie. Does picking on me make u feel better about urself? >_<Originally posted by C_Dave45

Shady on both sides, IMO. One of the Oiler's (/party member's) complaints was they were being "stuck" with a bottle charge for a Slovenian/Serbian brandy - Sljivovica. Someone "took a swig" from the bottle and then they bitch about being charged for the whole bottle, despite just having a sip? Well shitdick, drinking from the bottle makes it yours. What restaurant would take it back and serve it up to other patrons? This isn't Mexico. Pay the goddamn bill and move on.
So says Mauritzio...who we've seen is nothing but honest.Originally posted by hoyles

I don't believe a word out of his mouth. Oilers do these kinds of dinners all the time. You think they're not familiar with how restaurants work?

Well according to Global, the restaurant is now being investigated by the Alberta Liquor and Gaming.
This could get interesting or backfire hard.
OOPS. Repost. Well, I can't wait for the results.
sounds like my experience there exactly just for my friends birthday party there last month, she booked a table for 15 people, she got a tiny table in the corner that barley fits 10 peopleOriginally posted by Pacman
I had a similar experience at that restaurant. I hosted an evening dinner program for a large group of customers and felt the bill was inflated as the server purposely opened too many bottles of wine and bottled water than we needed. I decided not to argue it as it was late and I was tired.
on top of that me and my date came late and she already cramming in 14 people in that tiny table they made me and my date sit in another table far far away from that table and "wait" till the table beside they leave so they will move us there. we "waited for 45 mins" they ordered and eating.....there bill comes and its 100$ in bottle water?
never to return ever again....
please don't flame me, or i'll have to learn how to use the ban button
I'm up to date on the story and not going to comment on it, but I'm going to laugh at all the people that state what a pro athlete makes per minute or per game, like they don't do any travelling or practice or spend time in the gym. I can tell you an athlete's job is a lot more than playing a few minutes per game.
Thanks for the ProTip!Originally posted by Hakkola

Did you account for your practice and training time required to develop such profound messages?

It's funny when people base pay on in game minutes. Yes they get paid that much but it's not all they do. Training/trainers, eating/dietitians, vacation, kids, spouses, giant house maintenance, and so on. Sports/celebrity trainers and dietitians make HUGE money off these people. And no, I'm not defending the Oilers.Originally posted by Hakkola
