I would just like to make a comment about people who say they will buy something off of you and then when you go to meet up with them they change their minds.......If you aren't going to finish the deal don't even bother to start it...thank you

That's true and annoying but it's still up to them to buy it or not.
Nothing wrong with backing out of a deal if the item is misrepresented.

Well it fucking sucks when the BUYER backs out because his FRIEND doesn't like the ITEM
Also when someone wants to buy something, and they don't reply after they said they'll take it.

The good thing about dealing with people locally is they can check out the item for its condition and real life appearance and can decide if they want it in person.Originally posted by Tiny

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

then give them a bad rating haha.
That's what its there for.
That's the purpose of looking at something.... to see if you will change your mind.
But wasting people's time is another thing.
yah people should let you know in advance so that way you won't lose any prospective buyers
Well i think that if your interest in buying but wanna look at the item first, Tell the seller about it. That way it wont be as much of a dissapointment for the seller.....
no this person never even bothered to show....thats what im complaining about...no shows
Give them a negative trader rating!
You can't give them NEGATIVE trader ratings if they don't even show or dont buy it because of someone else/thing
whats really pisses me off when you tel the person you are gonna buy it, they say ok, and then the next day when u phone em up about the meet time say they sold it. Also I'm trying to buy a cable box off this guy, says he's comming on sunday at 9:00 never shows up and doesn't reply to my phone calls or PMs, pisses me off!
Yea I guess.Originally posted by Porsche_944

Trader ratings are there for a reason. If someone says they'll buy something and not show up, you CAN and SHOULD give a negative feedback! Just put in the description that they noshow'd for a pickup.
If they waste your time and say they'll show up to look at it and not show up, give them a bad rating and describe it properly in the description. People will see a trend if this particular user is just here to waste people's time.
Don't be shy giving out trader ratings .

boo hoo. welcome to the world of sales.
Yeah, this is a real problem when buying/selling on the internet and this is why we introduced the trader rating system onto beyond. By all means, if someone has agreed to BUY your item, and they back out that can be either be a negative or neutral rating it is up to you but just describe it properly when you do rate the user.
If the user only agreed to LOOK at it or have it checked it, and they don't buy it then no, you cannot issue a rating for that.
