    Default Decent hotel in Leduc?

My company used to put us up at the Delta South, but I guess our agreement with them ran out last year, and now they keep sticking us in the shitty Leduc Inn (Days Inn).

Can anyone suggest another place in Leduc or South Edmonton that isn't too much more /night, but significantly better, so we can convince our company to change over?

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

I've stayed at the Executive Royal Inn Edmonton Airport, it's decent.
According to my co-workers that's the nicest place in town.

I have stayed at the Royal Executive a few times and I think its pretty good. They have an awsome Sunday brunch

Also the Super 8, 2 blocks from the Royal Exec. is pretty decent and they have free continental breakfast.

Sadly, I doubt they'll go for that, it's $130/night compared to $85 (though they used to spend $170 at Delta South, I think they won't be willing to go that high again)

Trying to find something 3 star at least. Looking at expedia, I think the only viable compromise would be...

    -Best Western Cedar Park Inn
    -Best Western Denham Inn Suites
    -Sawridge Inn - Edmonton South
    -Ramada Inn Edmonton International Airport

Anyone have any experiences with these?

I stayed there back in September and it was horrible. People begging for money at the back entrance from the parking lot. Drunk natives walking in the halls and people screaming at night, it was pretty ghetto.

$130 a night is pretty decent. Seems like it always costs me $180 a night when I'm in Grande Prairie. But maybe I'm just a classy bitch. Hotel rooms are a tiny expense compared to what I spend for the company each year, so nobody really cares.

Oh, I totally agree, like I said, they used to spend $170 at Delta South, however our contract with our sole client came due last year, and was re-written, and now they're being cheap asses.

It's been hard enough just trying to convince them that the Leduc Inn is a shithole.

There's a Super 8 on Gateway Blvd & 34 Ave, and a Holiday Inn Express just opened up @ Gateway & 23Ave too.

You can get a nicer room in the western budget in nisku for cheaper then a plain room in the super 8. But neither are more more then a place to sleep.

So I emailed the Executive Royal Inn rates to our GM (as my direct manager is on vacation), also referring to the Leduc Inn as a Rig-Pig hotel, and got a scathing response about how offensive the term "rig-pig" is, and how they are a hard working people just doing their job like the rest of us

Either he's gone mad with political correctness, or he was just deflecting the issue altogether, either way I think we're S.O.L., hahahah.

The super 8 will give you $99 a night if you talk to them, that's what my company pays, occasionally I get the upgraded rooms for free.
