Default I-Pod Touch GPS not showing correct location.

My wife just got a new 8GB I-Pod Touch for Christmas.I linked to our wi-fi .When using the maps app , it displayed the correct location in Coventry Hills at first, but it now it displays a location in Falconridge,or sometimes near the airport.

After doing some research , I read the Touch displays the address of the ISP when using wi-fi . Is that my problem ??
I've tried syncing with I-tunes a few times, and and a few other things , but no joy..

    Any help or insight appreciated..

I am pretty sure the iPods dont have an actual gps locator on board.
the do something with triangulation to determine and approx. location IIRC.

it locates itself using the IP address from the WiFi network it's connected to. Currently, the iPod touches do not have a built in GPS chip so anyhow, you wouldn't be able to fully utilize the Maps application.
