The animated series is sooo good! I own all three seasons.
But I have a feeling this movie isn't goin to come close, and be too childish. I sure hope MK Shamylan proves me wrong though.
Kristin Kreuk would make a good Katara.

I watched the animated series with my gf (all 3 books) and I was pretty excited to go watch this and went on opening night (Thursday).

And all I have to say is.....WOW was that ever the biggest pile of shit movie I have ever watched.

I thought this was foolproof for M. Night Shamylan as all he had to do was transfer the first book (first season) of the animated series into live action. However he failed huge (even with the writers of the animated series on his team). The acting was horrible from the very poor script that M. Night wrote and it just made it absolute SHIT.

Save your money and just wait to download it. It's totally not worth the money. Oh and if you do want to see it in theatres, save yourself a few bucks and just watch the non-3D version as the 3D version....there was no point to it

I saw it tonight, such a waste. There was no 3d and they couldn't act for shit.

I did not mind it. He made a live action anime. The acting is on par with that of the cartoon. Also it was only 1.5 hours long.

WARNING: DONT GO!!! my girlfriend and i had gone last night, the movie is GARBAGE. We had good expectations, but 5 minutes into the film we realized the acting was SHIT!

10 minutes into the film we though we were watching someones horrible reincarnation of a crap version of Mortal Kombat.

I wasnt sure if i should leave, or i should stay..

Every set looked like it was hand painted on foam bricks..

The story never developed..

I think they paid these garbage kid actors with Free shoes and Ed hardy T shirts because there is no way they paid people to "act" in this movie...

and wtf is up with the "Fire kingdoms" banished son being a Brown teenager that looks like they pulled him out of Le Chateu while he was shopping with his buds..

ugh, thank god i didnt pay for the movie.

It was absolute shit!!! And yeah, 3D didn't make it any better! I'm a huge fan of the animated series and was so elated that they made a live action movie, but right from the opening credits, my heart began to sink!

I mean, my two favourites were completely butchured! Sokka and Uncle Irroh, were not even remotely humourous!

And yeah, the pronuciation for so many things had me fucked right off!

and especially Agni KEE!! Should have been Agnee KAI!!
