The criteria for being a Beyond Baller is simply knowing you are one.
My hybrid burns Diesel & Oil
This reminds me of those "where can I take my JDM car to get an oil change" threads.
MemX should be fine, I hear they work on "really nice" computers too, and not just prehistoric junk.
Careful though, I hear some of the more unethical techs will take nicer computers for joyrides around the backroom. Playing crysis on max settings, running "stress tests". You never know what kind of irreparable damage has been done to the hard drive after an event like that.
Take it anywhere, they wont have to pull apart your laptop or anything like that so hardware is pretty irrelevant when it comes to virus removal.
Just because you overpaid for you Alienware doesn't make it "Really Nice".
Just run CCleaner > MalwareBytes > Combofix
I can guarantee anywhere you go will do something similar.
Also alienware is garbage.
I think they charge extra for really nice ones! Maybe tell them it's only mediocre and see if they will give you a fair deal...

I'm going to find each and every one of your little internet friends!
I now feel like I went into shock. I started breathing heavily and lost my sense of what was going on.
well i dont ever take it in for service, so i dont know any computer service shops.
i was just asking because some shops that are better than others.
ie
wouldnt take a ferrari to minute lube.

i got some sort of worm buster virus.

so your opinion is nice, but inaccurate.

Not totally inaccurate. I personally stay away from combofix because it is 'too' powerful.Originally posted by T-Dubbs

On a clean computer download and install the DR web live CD to a disk.
download site ...http://www.freedrweb.com/livecd/
instructions ... ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/livecd/LiveCD-en.pdf
Also download and copy malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/ to another disk.
set up your pc to boot from CD then Run DR web.
clean your PC
reboot into safe mode - no networking
run malwarebytes
Reboot into safe mode with networking
download and install microsoft security essentials and let it scan.
remove malewarebytes and MSSE
Your PC should be safe.
reboot into normal mode
download and install comodo http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-.../antivirus.php - don't bother with the firewall but do let comodo reset the DNS proxy. The install may take some time and a couple of reboots - be patient this AV is second to none for protection and very light on resources once installed.
Edit...
almost forgot, once comodo is installed and updated right click the comodo icon - click configuration and select "proactive security" for the best protection.
