Just wondering. Maybe Beyond can help ease the congestion of city streets by promoting a car pooling system.

You could save money on parking too. But for a lot of people, it's not worth the inconvenience of carpooling to save a few cents...

I think Calary has the lowest people/car numbers in the world. Something like 1.1 or 1.2 occupants/vehicle on average. Al Duerr should have got off his duff and done something while Calgary was growing, but he didn't build any new roads or interchanges.

    Me too!
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

last year i lived across the street from the university, BUT... i paid $4 a day to park at school. Now before you go makin fun of me, you come down and live in lethbridge with the wind, it take 6 min just to cross the damn street on a windy day.

I like the UofL cause its free parking for motorcycles, and the meters are realitivly cheap to park at. Only problem is getting one of the 2 hour ones

I drive everyday to school, parking is free but I live out of town and gas is about $4-5 a day, and there is no way I am taking the bus, I have to get up like 45 minutes earlier and I am very lazy.

I drive 15 minutes to my buddy's house and then from there I either:
    A) Walk 13 blocks to school.
    B) Ride bike to school.
    C) Jump on the bus.
Its free parking, and the way I see it paying $4 /day is kind of a waste and eventually adds up.

I used to drive the first four years of school but decided to save money this year and take transit. I don't have a parking pass so I pay $4-5/day and it costs me $10 in gas/day (my car is a gas guzzler ). Now that I take transit I save $300-400 on commuting per month.

Taking transit is awesome though...a lot of weird people but you get to study on the train and no stress from driving.
