BREAKING NEWS: CTrain fatality

A person has died after being hit by a CTrain.


It happened near the Erlton Station just before the afternoon rush hour on Wednesday.

A witnesses on the scene after the accident say it looks like the person was hit by a train heading northbound.


The victim appeared to have been crossing the tracks at the 25 Avenue pedestrian crossing.

Transit officials say the train is stopped on the northbound track while police investigate.

The southbound line has reopened but it will be used for trains heading north and south. That means commuters should expect delays.

I drove by this after it happened today...

Cop cars everywhere, ctrain was stopped in the middle of the intersection...

Someone PLEASE explain to me how someone just walks infront of the c-train?

yeah i saw this coming home from work today. you must not have much between your ears in order to get hit by a ctrain but i guess we'll wait and hear what happened.

I won't argue the visuals, but with quality headphones you wouldn't hear a thing.

Co-worker was on the C-train when it happened. The C-train operator was honking the train horn at the girl who was crossing. But co-worker only heard the honks but didn't see it happen. Next thing, was the first initial bump when the train hit the girl, then the second bump when the C-train ran over her.

Fucked up part was that they let all the people off the C-train without having a cover over the body. Co-worker said he saw a headless body and they were looking for the head which rolled under the tracks...

I had a buddy once who was biking and had his ipod on in highschool. He crossed the street full bore at a set of lights one day, and didn't notice the DO NOT WALK sign was lit. He's lucky the car was making a right hand turn, he only broke his collarbone.

Of course, it just goes to prove my point that yes, if you are an idiot, you can get hit by a moving vehicle!

fire alarms are bloody loud too.We had one at work last week.Although it was a false alarm,the 50 employees made it outside and one girl was still inside for 15 minutes with her ipod running full blast clueless of what was going on.

So that explains why the trains were so delayed after I got off work. You have to be pretty careless in order to be struck by a train, don't people look where they're going anymore?
