Anyone know much about this company? They've been growing rapidly since their inception?
Might consider working there.
Thx.

I would love to work there. They have a chef!
Get me in?

-Very highly regarded.
-Free cooked breakfast every day.
-Bakken is probably the safest and most profitable play in Canada. No worry about shale gas, upgrading or sour/heavy differential.
the only downside is how fast they have been growing. They probably can't keep that up for much longer, and the share price might suffer, which could hurt your total compensation, since I assume you'd get some RSU's or options.
Still, don't think they are in any danger of going under or anything, jsut might have a few years of slower growth.
Honestly, they'd be top of my list if I was looking.

They be craaaaazy. They just keep buying in the Bakken, but the only things I've heard of them are positive! Good luck!
crescent point is the shit good luck we'll be competing for whatever they have!
Z32 TT
1996 Integra - winter beater with studs - RIP (deer)
2002 WRX - to be sold
2010 sti - winter
Is this "Crescent Point Energy Corp"? I have an interview with them.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
I have another question though. From what I hear, CP puts a lot of value in their stock for the total compensation package. Is it worth it to take a hit on the base salary for more stock compensation?
ie) Base Salary +
6% of Base Salary in shares (per quarter) +
1/3 of additional shares allocated over a 3 year period +
10-25% Bonus +
-----------------------------------------
= Total Compensation Package
Thanks.
My feeling on this is that your base pay needs to cover your ass. Some people make a shitton of money on share grants, RSUs and programs like that, but some people make zero on it.
Pretty much, the base pay needs to be decent, or you are gambling too much.
I started a new job in Aug 2008, and I was pretty stoked about an inital grant of options. Well, I'm still way underwater on those, and probably will be for years. Thank god for base pay.

Wow sounds like a great company to work for...GL
Life is a Gamble.
Is 6% in shares or options. If it's shares that's pretty awsome as it's basically like cash, whereas options are only worth something if the stock goes up.Originally posted by OPGForce

Shares $$$
If you look at CPG over the last few years, their shares have rocked. I'm still invested. Their growth may slow, but I'd be looking at them to increase their dividends at that point. I'd defintiely go for a career there. If you're young, and know how to save some money, the risk you're taking on the equities is a good one IMO. It may not turn out for you, but odds are you'll make a killing in 3-5 years.
2 of my friends work there; both say great things about them (the company even has a free bar lol)
the base pay is usually a little lower than average but they make up for it with 400 shares/year for the first 3 years and ~20-30% bonuses; or atleast thats what ive been told by them so dont quote me on it
When you get hired, put in a good word for me

LOL...I'm pretty sure they're looking for someone like that. I hear they'll be putting in a spa soon, so they might need some help with the facials.
