I think she was found in 'a bed' rather than 'her bed'

So it must be a friend's house.

But the article gives very poor details about that info.

yeah I can't quite get exactly what happend either. This is very weird: The neighbour talking about the Mom.

So she gets reported missing on Sunday after she tells her parents she will be with a friend Saturday night but never goes to said friend's house. On Monday EMS takes a male from the house on a stretcher and then a few hours later they find the girls body in her own bed, in her own house.


Something hinky for sure. I'll lay odds on COD being asphyxiation or strangulation.

- City Police and EMS were called out to the same residence earlier the same day and they are investigating any link between that call and her death
- There was a transport by EMS, not sure who got transported
- Later in the day she was reported missing by family members and there was a 'check on welfare' call

The video is somewhat wrong then. The police confirm she was reported missing on Sunday evening. The EMS call occurred Monday several hours prior to the body being found around 5PM.

Almost certain that the father was treated by EMS earlier in the day for severe scratches and cuts.

It wasn't the father...it was her step brother.

Emergency crews were reportedly called for McInnes’s step-father, Brad Rietze, who was suffering from breathing problems.

Police could not comment on reports he had unexplained scratches on his body, including his neck.

She was. In grade 12 at Scarlett, and worked at the Rexall Drug store around the corner. I go there all the time and remember seeing her working there. Very friendly and polite. Just going through her Facebook tribute page. Such a sad thing for someone so young to die like that. Cant imagine what her last thoughts were....
